Bequests in Wills

The Australian Liver Foundation gratefully accepts bequests made by kind benefactors in their wills. Such bequests have enormous benefit to the future of education and research in relation to liver diseases.

The following wording is appropriate for inclusion in wills:
"I give $........ to the Australian Liver Foundation Limited for the general purposes of the Foundation and I declare the general chargeable intent price of the donation and note that the receipt of the Secretary or Treasurer for the time being of the Foundation will constitute a full discharge for my Executors and Trustees who will be absolved from seeking or making any enquiry as to the application of the money or assets the subject of this legacy."

The Australian Liver Foundation has established a permanent subfund within the Queensland Community Foundation to receive gifts from bequestors.

Funds in this subfund are the property of the Australian Liver Foundation and are invested and maintained in perpetuity and the income benefits the Australian Liver Foundation.
